Mikko Kerttula (b.1984) is a Finnish artist, documentary photographer and educator.

In his photography, Kerttula is drawn to explore the external and internal events of everyday life and patiently study places and his encounters with people. A wandering interaction in social scapes, research and intuitive visual experiments often act as key triggers to pursue his chosen approach to subject matter.

Between 2017-2024, Kerttula worked as the coordinating teacher of photography and visual communications at the Lahti Academy of Liberal and Fine Arts.

As a professional photographer Kerttula cooperates regularly with private clients, companies, events, restaurants, daily news and magazine publications.

Kerttula holds an MA in photojournalism from the Mid Sweden University (2016), a BA in photography from the Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts (2013), and carried out an internship as a film cinematographer, editor and personal assistant for Zengleam Filmz in Los Angeles California (2012).
